The barriers to the new works in Church Street were taken down the day before and it was just the weather the team from Bellingen Solar was hoping for last Saturday July 30th when they celebrated the opening of their new showroom at 1-3 Church Street Bellingen. With green and yellow balloons all round and over a hundred people in attendance Bellingen Solar was opened by Martin Hogan with the assistance of young Mali Doyle aged 7, the son of owner’s Steven and Emma.

“The day was a way to give back to our customers” said Steven Doyle.  The team at Bellingen Solar acknowledge they wouldn’t be where they are today without the continuing support of their customers and the way they have embraced renewable energy.

The crowd was introduced to Solar Active Man played by Will Johnston a valued member of the Bellingen Solar team, young Marli Doyle played his ever faithful companion Sunny Boy and Tony Deane from CTC Coastal Tagging and Carpentry kindly agreed to play the villian for the day “Coal Fire”.  Guy Saddleton the President of the Bellingen Chamber of Commerce and of course owner of Guy Saddleton Real Estate was the master of ceremonies for the day and did a fantastic job narrating the kids show which was well received by the young crowd.

The end of Church Street was awash with green and yellow balloons sporting the slogan “Solar Power for the People” which is part of the new slogan accompanying their next advertising campaign and TV commercial parts of which where also shot on the day with the enthusiastic participation by the crowd and directed by Ross Jamieson from Independent Productions, a Coffs Harbour video production company.

“The day was a huge success”, said Steve Doyle, “and now with our increased product range promoting renewable energy and energy efficient products and services we are committed to a bright renewable future”.
