Bellingen Solar is a family business run by Steven and Emma Doyle. The business specialises in solar power systems for remote areas and grid connected solar power systems for the increasing number of families and individuals who want to make a contribution to the fight against global warming. We employ an apprentice and a casual electrician. WE are BCSE Accredited solar designers/installers, licensed electrical contractors and accredited country energy service providers.

I first came across solar energy while working as an electrician around Bellingen in 1989. I came across a small system with 1X 60-watt panel and a car battery that provided some light, TV and radio for an alternate lifestyler living in the hills.

I was extremely impressed by the simplicity of the system and the impact it had on someone's lifestyle living a simple life in the bush and no coal or diesel required. I've been hooked on solar ever since.

Solar power has been the only means of power for a lot of North Cost residents long before I came across it. Systems have evolved and grown over the years to provide all the energy for our modern conveniences for people who don't live near the electricity grid.

More recently solar power has been embraced as one of the ways to reduce global warming through people installing solar grid connect power systems. I feel privileged to work for people installing these systems and still get a kick out of every system we install.
